The cottage is ideally situated for walkers, from Taddington you can walk to the surrounding pretty villages of Chelmorton, Flag, Sheldon and Monyash. It is also possible to walk from the cottage and pick up the Monsal Trail by walking through the magnificent limestone dale of Deep Dale, which lies between Taddington and Sheldon. The Limestone Way passes through the village and is just one of many fine routes for walkers. This lovely property is also on the bus route from Manchester to Derby. Nearby are some beautiful dales and grassy hilltops with spectacular panoramic views. Just 6 miles away is the market town of Bakewell and the spa town of Buxton, with its internationally acclaimed Opera House. Visit the 10,000-acre Chatsworth Estate and beautiful stately home, 10 miles away. It is 7 miles to Haddon Hall and further afield is the Peak steam railway, the National Tramway Museum at Crich, Matlock Bath and the Blue John Cavern at Castleton.
