Property Description
Perfect for couples or a small family wanting a holiday by the seaside, this ground floor apartment sits on the beach in the picturesque village of Lower Largo. Guests will find a welcoming and comfortable holiday home; the living/dining room looks directly over the beach and Largo Bay, and with a cosy open fire, guests can admire the dramatic sea scape at any time of the year. French doors lead into a little garden with seating where you can relax and listen to the sea or enjoy alfresco dining, weather permitting. There is a small galley-style kitchen, family bathroom and two bedrooms, the double looks out across the beach so you can wake up to amazing sea views with your cup of tea.
Situated in the ancient fishing village of Lower Largo overlooking the Firth of Forth, guests can explore this pretty village and harbour on foot. For children of all ages, the sandy beach is a great place to explore and you can walk for miles along the shore where there are rockpools to examine along the way. Lower Largo is famed for being the birth place of Andrew Selkirk, a famous explorer from the 1700’s whom Daniel Defoe based his book of Robinson Crusoe on and there is a statue outside his home.
There are some lovely walks along the Fife Coastal Path which passes through the village leading to secluded coves, old fishing villages and white sandy beaches. For keen cyclists, the Millennium Cycle Way runs through central Fife, with miles of quiet country roads, disused railways and forest tracks to explore. Further along the coast is the bustling tourist harbour town of Anstruther, with daily ferries and boat trips leaving between April and September to the Isle of May, which is a National Nature Reserve and home to colonies of sea birds, including puffins, and the surrounding waters are the habitat of seal colonies. For guests who enjoy a game of golf on their holidays, there are over 45 courses in this area, including the world famous championship courses at St Andrews which is only 12 miles away.
Sunnyside Beach is perfect for a romantic holiday, where you are able to relax and unwind, leaving the stress of every day life behind and with an ever changing sea view to enjoy. Beach opposite. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
