Rowan House is set back from a quiet, single track road and has 7 acres of private grounds and woodland to enjoy. This is the ideal base to explore this rural part of Scotland. The detached property is a large impressive structure offering guests a superb level of comfort and furnishings throughout. There is a grand reception hall with an impressive galleried landing that wraps around the first floor. The kitchen is modern and offers a good level of appliances including a cooking range and a central island, along with a large utility. The kitchen also has a dining area which has French doors to the garden and also a separate dining room. The main living room is spacious with an open fire and and French doors to the garden. A second living room has an open fire and there is a downstairs cloakroom. On the first floor there are five bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities, and three with flexible option of being a super kingsize bed or twin beds. They are served by two bathrooms both finished to a high standard with roll top baths. Outside the gardens are well maintained and there is a barbecue and ample parking. Even thought the owner doesn’t live on-site, they are within easy reach and is available for any information or assistance if required.
The local area is steeped with history with a wide selection of castles and is ideal for the outdoor enthusiasts as cycling, kayaking and walking is very popular in the area. Fishing can be arranged, and is only 5-minutes walk away. The nearby village of Boner Bridge offers a good selection of shops, a couple of bars and a superb butchers. The North Coast 500 is a 516-mile scenic route around the north coast of Scotland, starting and ending at Inverness Castle. Nearby is the popular west coast village of Ullapool. Beach 19 miles. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles walk away.
