Courses – Ludlow, Sapey & Leominster

Ludlow Golf Club, founded in 1889, is the oldest club & course in the Union of Shropshire and Herefordshire. The course was developed on its present site in 1927 by the legendary architect James Braid and still retains many of its original features and charm. It offers excellent playing conditions on permanent tees and greens throughout the year. With gently undulating softly sprung fairways and greens that are locally renowned for their speed and trueness, Ludlow offers a fair and competitive test of golf to players of all abilities. Sapey is becoming one of the most demanding, as well as beautiful, venues in the area. The golfing facilities were further enhanced in September 1999 when the 9 hole par 27 course was opened in addition to the already existing 18 hole course. Built to the same high specifications as the original 18 hole course, The Oaks proves a stern test for anyone’s short game. Whilst the golf facilities continue to flourish, the friendly nature of the club remains. Leominster is a beautiful golf course with eighteen very different holes, each with a different challenge designed to test your skills to the limit.
