The Elms is a large semi-detached house, ideal for extended families or friends who want a great place to enjoy a holiday or short break together. Located in the popular seaside village of Combe Martin, The Elms is perfectly set up for holidays, with plenty of living space, a well-equipped kitchen, a great family bedroom in the loft, enclosed garden and plenty of parking space.
From the house, you can walk to Combe Martin’s village centre and beach, which is just under a mile. The village centre has a range of shops, restaurants and pubs serving food, and you can hire a sea kayak and tour from one of the local providers. The beach is used to launch kayak tours around the coastline which provide a stunning backdrop as well as providing a glimpse of the wealth of wildlife in the area. At low tide, the beach is ideal for rock pooling.
Located on North Devon’s popular coastline, there is a great deal to do during a stay at The Elms. In Ilfracombe there are the Tunnels Beaches, harbour and numerous shops and restaurants. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle and the Lynton to Lynmouth Funicular Cliff Railway all make for a good trip out. At Croyde and Woolacombe you will find some of the best and cleanest surf beaches in the country as well as many smaller coves and bays. Exmoor is a short distance away and on a clear day the views can be spectacular. There are National Trust properties at Arlington and Knightshayes, and the RHS Garden Rosemoor, Great Torrington is worth a visit. Cycling along the Tarka Trail, golf, fishing and clay pigeon shooting are all available locally. Beach 1 mile. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
