Courses: West Cornwall & Tehidy
West Cornwall Golf Club is one of the finest links courses in Cornwall. The course was established in 1889, making it the oldest golf club in the Duchy and one that has won much acclaim. Peter Alliss was an honorary life member who always spoke very highly of the course and the warm welcome all can expect to receive.
Tehidy is a 18 Hole Par 71 Parkland Course, offering a challenging round to golfers of all abilities. It is currently a mixture of open holes, some with streams at strategic points, many with tree-lined fairways and 9 holes where out of bounds comes into play. The lakes also have a part to play on four holes, especially the 193 yard, Par 3, 17th where a carry from the medal tee of close to 170 yards is required to ensure safety. It is no exaggeration to say that of the thousands who have visited the course over the years, few have left with a view other than that Tehidy Park is a good, fair, test of golf.

Property Description

Located just 2 miles from the picturesque harbour and town of St Ives with some of Cornwall’s best beaches, St Ives is renowned for its selection of restaurants dotted along the waterfront, the perfect place to people watch or unwind after a day exploring. Art galleries include the Tate Modern and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. St Ives Bay sweeps round past the wide beach and sandy dunes of the Hayle Estuary, a popular spot for birdwatchers, and up to the famous Godrevey Lighthouse perched on its rocky outcrop.
The coastline attracts dolphins, basking sharks, seals and bird life. The rugged North Cornwall Coast is popular with surfers and walkers with its long stretches of coastal pathways. For cyclists, the area offers numerous cycle trails including the Portreath to Devoran, taking you from north to south coasts along the old tram line, passing many old engine houses, a reminder of Cornwall’s tin mining heritage.
