Courses: Merlin – Trevose – St. Enodoc – Perranporth & Carlyon Bay

Merlin Golf Club is  beautiful North Cornish hilltop heathland golf course set on the North Cornish Coast, enjoying amazing views towards the sea. The course is designed to suit all standards of golfer, with no long carries for the higher handicapper whilst maintaining a challenge for the lower handicap golfer, especially in the wind!.

Perranporth Golf Club, situated on the beautiful North Coast of Cornwall, offers some of the finest links golf in South West of England. One of Britain’s TOP 100 Links Courses, Perranporth boasts a challenging James Braid designed links course. It offers year round incredible putting surfaces and breathtaking views up and down the coast.

Carlyon Bay Golf Course – Standing on the first tee of the Championship Golf Course, the views across the cliff tops and over the shimmering bay will take your breath away. Carlyon Bay Golf Course is unlike any other that you have played. It is a truly magical combination of beautifully manicured fairways and greens set in captivating scenery whilst providing an exhilarating golfing challenge.

Opened in 1925 the Championship Course at Trevose has played host to The Brabazon Trophy (2008), The McGregor Trophy (2012), the English Men’s County Finals (2017), and the inaugural Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship (2019) in recent years. Ranked as one of the top links courses in the British Isles it offers a unique golfing experience, 12 months of the year. Along with the likes of Augusta National, Pine Valley, Sunningdale, Royal Portrush and Muirfield, Trevose is in good company within the ‘Colt’ family of courses.

St. Enodoc has two courses; the Church course is the James Braid designed Championship course which in September 2005 hosted the English County Finals and in July 2014 the English Women’s Amateur Championship again. This stunning and very highly rated course enjoys a justified reputation as one of the West Country’s finest links layouts. It may not look it but the par 5 1st is one of the easier holes even if you have to thread your way carefully between the sand dunes. Pars are harder to come by on the long par 4 2nd and 3rd holes. The shorter Holywell course is an ideal course for those wanting slightly less of a challenge but which features some typical links terrain.
