Courses – Keswick – Cockermouth – Penrith

At Penrith Golf Club, the Lakeland fells provide a magnificent backdrop to this par 69 (Mens) par 72 (Ladies) golf course formed in 1890. Located adjacent to the historic market town of Penrith, once the home of King Richard III, this lovely course offers a worthy challenge to any golfer. It also affords the welcome bonus of some of the finest views of the Lake District, including iconic mountains such as Blencathra and Helvellyn,

Keswick’s 18 hole course offers a delightful and varied experience for golfers of all abilities. Measuring just over 6200 yards off the Championship tees, the par of 71 confirms that a round of great character awaits. The inspired use of the natural features of the landscape, tree-lined fairways and well-located greens, combine to provide an unforgettable round of golf.

Don’t miss the chance to play the 18 hole James Braid designed Cockermouth golf course at Embleton in your package. You are surrounded by excellent views including Skiddaw, the Lorton Fells, Scotland and even, weather permitting, the Isle of Man. The 8th is one of the best par 4’s in Cumbria and the 10th is an impressive signature hole which tests your confidence in your driving with a 180 yard tee shot reaching the dogleg-esque fairway but only if hit straight – veer left and its a several hundred yard drop off a cliff.
