Courses – Chesterfield – South Chesterfield – Tapton Park – Matlock – Hallowes

From short but challenging par threes to drivable par fours and lengthy par fives, Chesterfield Golf Club offers a fair test of every aspect of a golfer’s skills – whatever your ability level. A front nine which requires players to plot their way around the tree-lined fairways leads gently into the longer back nine, where the bigger hitters will fancy making their length off the tee count. The picturesque 148-yard downhill par three eighth hole, heavily guarded with bunkers, is widely regarded as the course’s signature hole, with several holes across water on the back nine – including the beautiful 10th and 17th holes – vying for the accolade.

At over 6,000 yards, the par 72, 18 hole Markham Course at Tapton Park provides a true test of golf. Located in a parkland setting the undulating terrain provides views across Chesterfield including the famous ‘Crooked Spire’. Other facilities include the 9 hole Academy course, perfect for practising your game, a driving range and a pitch and putt course.  A friendly bar with an outdoor seating area serving food and drinks provides the perfect place to relax.

South Chesterfield’s well established, Par 70, 18 hole golf course in Derbyshire follows a traditional and gentle heathland layout which is challenging, whilst not being intimidating. With its excellent design, placement of shot is all important to reach our consistently exceptional putting surfaces. The 20 Bay floodlit driving range with indoor putting green is the largest practice facility in Derbyshire.

Matlock Golf Club Established in 1906 on the undulating moorland above the town of Matlock, the eastern gateway to the Peak District National Park, our Club offers a challenging 18-hole par 70 course with spectacular views across the Derwent Valley and unrivalled practice facilities, including a 10 bay covered and floodlit driving range.

Hallowes Golf Club, founded in 1892, is a very pleasant hill top parkland course. Gently undulating, it boasts magnificent views over the Yorkshire and Derbyshire countryside. This well manicured course offers quick, true greens and is a fine test of shot making for the accomplished player, whilst remaining both fair and rewarding for golfers of all standards.
