Courses: Sherborne & Yoevil

Sherborne is a mature 18-hole parkland course with specimen trees and stunning views over Somerset and the Blackmore Vale. Just over 6,400 yards from the white tees and set out over undulating terrain, the course will test all departments of your game without the need of big hitting from the tees. Good course management combined with sound club selection are the secrets of success at Sherborne. Much of the course was designed by the renowned Open winner and inter-war course architect James Braid and the Club is a member of the Braid Association. The bush in the middle of the 5th fairway is known as “Braid’s Bush” and may challenge your second shot at that hole.

Set on the outskirts of the town of Yeovil, with excellent transport links, Yeovil Golf Club has two contrasting golf courses. It is hard to do justice to the beauty of the surroundings and standard of both courses, which are draped across two borders of Dorset and Somerset , 27 holes divided by the River Yeo. The Golf Club, in recent times, has been honoured to host major golfing events such as the South of England Boys Open and the hosting of the Ladies South West Match week in June 2014. In 2017, the Club was proud to have hosted the Dorset County Championships.
