Courses: Heacham Manor – Hunstanton – Royal West Norfolk – Kings Lynn
Heacham Manor Golf Course might be young, but it is growing up fast. On the undulating ‘links’ style front nine the landscaping has settled in and the shrubs have thrived, while the trees of the parkland back nine are just how nature intended. A wide variety of native trees and shrubs have been planted to enhance the difficulty of the holes and complement the ‘links’ feel to the course. There are also four lakes, the largest of which is the backdrop for the ‘signature hole’ the par-three, seventh.
Located on the beautiful North West Norfolk coast, Hunstanton Golf Club is a superb championship links course. Rated as one of Britain & Ireland’s ‘Top 100’ courses, golfers have walked the rolling fairways nestling in a stunning landscape of dunes and links grasses for 125 years. An absolute must play!
Royal West Norfolk Golf Club (Brancaster) is an outstanding links course set on the North Norfolk coast. With the North Sea on one side and the saltmarsh on the other it has a wonderfully atmospheric setting and continues to be rated highly in all of the recognised Golf Course Rankings Lists (golfworldtop100.com ; Top 100 Golf Courses ; golf-monthly.co.uk ).
King’s Lynn Golf Club was founded in 1923 and the club moved to its current site in 1975. The 18 hole course was designed by Dave Thomas and Peter Alliss and at 6609 yards par 72 is a real challenge for even the most accomplished player.
