Wheathill Golf Club was opened in May 1993 and is set in a jewel of Somerset countryside. It is an 18 hole, parkland course comprising a picturesque 5607 yards of gently undulating fairways along the river Cary. Having matured nicely over the past 25 years, Wheathill now offers a challenging round of golf to players of all abilities. Hidden water hazards, bunkers, mature trees & Out Of Bounds on over nine holes makes accuracy a priority. Situated 3 miles west of Castle Cary, you can also enjoy an 8 hole Academy Course, superb practice ground and a very friendly clubhouse.

Rated in the top 150 courses in the British Isles,  Mendip is a superbly designed Members’ golf course open to visitors with magnificent views in a tranquil setting.  From its early beginnings as a 9 hole course in 1908 it has been continuously improved into the superb 18 hole course it is today.  With its fairways of springy download turf, this Par 71 challenging course is a joy to walk and play. Located on the north facing slope of the Mendips at an elevation of almost 1,000ft, the Mendip Golf Club is a challenging par 71 course, measuring 6383 yards from the white tees and suitable for golfers of all abilities.

The World Heritage city of Bath and the great sights and attractions of Bristol are all within an hours drive. Also, Cheddar Gorge with its famous gorge and caves and Wookey Hole are also within easy reach. You can even reach the seaside resorts of Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare in approximately an hours’ drive. Golf is also available locally. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 1 mile.
