Burnham and Berrow has for over a century been the venue for many prestigious golfing events, from the British Ladies Amateur Championships, the Brabazon, the Tillman Trophy, the British Boys and English Championships. From the 1st Tee shot you know you are somewhere special! The Course is laid out in the traditional manner with nine holes out and nine back. The first nine holes skirt the sand dunes and coastline northwards, turning inland and southwards and then following the coast road through Berrow, past the Church and back into Burnham.

Weston-super-Mare Golf Club is an attractive links course situated at the southern end of Weston Bay, with superb views across the Bristol Channel, past Brean Down, Steep Holm and Flat Holm towards Cardiff. The course is an easy walk, with generous fairways and the wind often playing a decisive role in making a good score. The overall impression when playing the course is of wide horizons and masses of sky. In summer the greens are fast and true; the fairways tight and the rough punishing. In winter the course is rarely closed and is always played off real tees. Temporary greens are used occasionally when hard frosts prevail.

The current layout of the course at Brean Golf Club was opened in March 2016 and sees the 18 holes cover 5663yds from the back tees with a par of 69. Although not long by today’s standards it’s small greens & abundance of water hazards will keep golfers of any standard thinking throughout their round. Take this course on at your peril!

Being located close to the coast the sea breeze will be another factor that will make a golfer think whilst playing over the lush meadow courseThe 18 hole, par 70 course Isle of Wedmore is over 6000 yards in two nine hole loops both of which start and finish at the comfortable Clubhouse. The front nine offers a par 5, 5 par 4’s and 3 par 3’s to test your abilities whilst the back 9 has their version of “amen corner” in 3 long par 5’s one after the other, and a tricky par 3 over water.
