Courses: Beauport Park – Sedlescombe – Highwoods & Cooden Beach

Beauport Park’s visually stunning 18 Hole Championship Course is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of the Sussex/Rother Weald. The Course sets a compelling and stern, yet fair challenge, whilst you enjoy the views of the gently rolling Sussex countryside. With a beautiful, picturesque 18 hole championship golf course, 14 bay floodlit driving range and 9 hole par 3 pitch and putt course, there is no better place to learn and play golf in 1066 Country.

Sedlescombe’s championship 18 hole course is a true test of golf with a carefully thought layout in superb condition. The par 3, 9 hole course is an equal to our championship course for practice and beginners. It also offer an undercover driving range, 3 practice greens and golf tuition for all. The 18 hole championship ‘Great Wood’ course is splendid to play, making its way through mature oaks with every hole unique and a test for all standards of players. The 9 hole par 3 course ‘Little Wood’ is very special, with a unique layout and greens that compete with any course. The practice facilities are second to none with a floodlit and covered driving range, teaching area with indoor video available, 3 putting greens and a short-game practice area

Measuring 6,218 yards, Highwoods’ par 70 course offers a fair challenge of golf along the tree lined fairways with a stream coming into play on six of the holes. Hitting into elevated greens also increases the course’s challenge. Established in 1924 under the supervision of J H Taylor and K G Hawtree, the course has matured over the years into one of the finest in Sussex.

Cooden Beach is a great test of your golfing skills, playing conditions can change day to day due to its close proximity to the sea. The course has dykes, ponds and strategically placed bunkers to catch a wayward shot. Nine holes exceed 400 yards and present a different challenge from which ever tee you chose to play from. Above all else the golf courses main defence is the wind which can switch with the tide. Being relatively flat the course is easy walking although the climb up the 9th hole takes you to the highest point of the course where you can take in the stunning views of the sea and the surrounding countryside.
